RISE Community Guidelines
The Short: Our desire is that the RISE App will be a place for like-minded believers in kingdom transformation. We hope that as you engage with one another you discover new dimensions of your calling, relationship with God, and with one another. We need your help to create and maintain a healthy community. Our expectation is that you follow U.S. and International laws and treat one another as you would want to be treated.
The Long: We are so excited that you have joined RISE, this global community of reformers. Our goal with this platform is to facilitate an experience for everyone that brings them closer to God, their purpose on earth, and each other— this app is not the community, but simply provides a platform for the community to function within. With that being said, we have some basic ground rules for how people need to interact on this platform. Most of these guidelines should come as no surprise, but we do have a few ground rules that act as guide rails for RISE. By using RISE, you agree to our TOS and Privacy Policy. Overstepping these boundaries and the topics laid out below may result in deleted content, disabled accounts, or other restrictions.
Share What You Own: Share only photos and videos that you’ve taken or have the right to share. As always, you own the content you post on RISE. Remember to post original content and don’t post anything you’ve copied or collected from the Internet that you don’t have the right to post. Learn more about intellectual property rights here.
Follow U.S. Law: RISE is not a place to support or praise terrorism, organized crime, or hate groups. Offering sexual services, buying or selling firearms, alcohol, or tobacco products between private individuals, or buying or selling illegal or prescription drugs (even if legal in your region) are also not allowed.
Remember to always follow U.S. law when offering to sell or buy other regulated goods.
We have zero tolerance when it comes to sharing sexual content, sharing sexual content involving minors, or threatening to post intimate images of others.
Respect Members of the RISE Community: RISE exists to cultivate a positive and diverse community. We reserve the right to remove the following: content that contains credible threats/incites violence, content that shares others’ personal information/doxing, content that targets private individuals to degrade or shame them, content that repeatedly disrespects other app users, and content that contains repeated unwanted messages. While maintaining the above standards, we aim to create a space for critical assessments of and conversations about political/religious/cultural leaders and ideas, including ideas that are or are not considered popular. Dialogues and respectful argumentation around leaders and ideas leads to diversity of thought and fosters the expansion of potential solutions. Freedom of speech and expression are welcomed here so long as that speech does not pose a direct threat to another individual.
It's never OK to encourage violence or attack anyone based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, disability, or disease. However, views that question mainstream ideology surrounding these topics will be allowed and encouraged so long as the speech does not threaten the wellbeing and safety of others. We do not consider personal offense or “hurt feelings” to be a violation of our community guidelines.
Serious threats of harm to public and personal safety aren't allowed. This includes specific threats of physical harm as well as threats of theft, vandalism, and other financial harm. We carefully review reports of threats and consider many things when determining whether a threat is credible.
Group Formation: We believe that reformers are more known for what they are for rather than what they are against. We reserve the right to close groups that center around “anti” ideology. For example, a group for politically conservative reformers on the Mountain of Government would be allowed, while a group that is anti-liberal would not be. A group that is for Baptist Ministers on the Mountain of Religion would be allowed while a group that is anti-female leadership would not be.
Posting Newsworthy Events: We understand that many people use RISE to share important and newsworthy events and we ask that you do so in a thoughtful manner. Events or Hubs may be based around major issues happening in the world. Some of these issues can involve graphic images. Because so many different people and age groups use RISE, we may remove images or content that is intense, graphic, or violent in nature to make sure RISE stays appropriate for everyone.
We understand that people often share this kind of content to condemn, raise awareness, or educate. If you do share content for these reasons, we encourage you to caption your photo with a warning about graphic violence. Sharing graphic images with vicious intent or for the purpose of glorifying violence is never allowed.
When sharing information, please ensure the facts are correct and are not worded in a misleading way. We encourage taking personal responsibility for what you post by fact-checking and sharing your source, as spreading correct or incorrect educational material has the ability to shape and change minds. We encourage open-minded conversations and respectful disagreements for the purpose of personal and community growth. As we grow and change, we individually and collectively discover solutions to bring real change and reformation in our nations.
Removal of Users, Organizations, Hubs, and Events: The removal of users, organizations, hubs, and events is at the sole discretion of Restore7 and their interpretation of the above community guidelines and the values outlined in the RISE Handbook.
